Hi, I’m Julie, a qualified Therapy Assistant and professional musician. For over 15 years, I’ve been bringing music to aged care homes across Perth.
Before specialising in music, I worked as a Therapy Assistant in aged care. That experience shapes the way I approach every visit. I work closely with care teams, adapting song choices and responding to the mood and needs of each group.
I love spending time with the residents I meet, listening to their stories and seeing how a familiar song can spark a smile, a memory or a wonderful conversation.
To me, it’s important to create a warm, relaxed space where residents feel included, heard and valued.
We appreciate your presence and the joy you brought to our afternoon; you truly are remarkable. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed your concert yesterday, and we are grateful for the way you engaged with our residents; it was just perfect.
